3 Things That You Can Do To Speed up Your PC
Nothing is worse than getting frustrated cause your computer is dragging its feet. With that said, I present to you three easy tasks that can help you increase your computer speed. Hopefully, this will help you out and save you a lot of frustration in the long run.
Staying Updated
Many times, a computer’s performance can suffer greatly from being the victim of outdated software. There is constantly new computer updates that are rolled out which has the ability to better the performance of your computer.
If you’re using Windows, there’s an update feature titled “Windows Update” in your start menu. Most of the time, you will find it by listing all programs in your start menu. Now, if you’re using another operating system this will be a little different, but not much.
Disk Cleanup
Simply put, this is a method of removing all of the temporary files, the files in your recycle bin, and your internet browsing history. You will find this Accessory on Windows, but other operating systems might have something similar or you can find a program that cleans up your hard drive for you.
The reason that this is so important in the terms of your computer speed is that these files will add up and consume most of your hard drive, making it run overwork itself and end up decreasing the speed of your PC. Make sure that you don’t neglect to do this as the frustration it causes if you don’t will literally drive you bonkers.
Disk Defragmenter
After you have updated your computer and cleaned up your disk, reboot your computer so that it has a fresh start without all of the junk. The odds are that it will be faster than before is those were the roots of the harmful PC speed side effects.
Now, you will want to run Disk Defragmenter. This basically gathers your files and puts them into clusters in order to preserve your hard drive space. After you have let the disk defragmenter run its task, reboot your computer once more for another fresh start.
Now, if you have followed the above instructions, your computer should be running faster than before which will eliminate the frustrations caused by your computer going at the speed of a turtle. If not, you may want to look into a program that boosts the speed of your PC.

The Windows disk defragger sucks. I use and suggest a proper automatic real-time defragger that can actually prevent fragmentation, not just defrag. See this link for review

Empty your Temp Directory on a regular basis. The temp directory can quickly fill up with hundreds of temp files over time, which can slow things down.
