If there is one thing we’re noticing this holiday season, with all the specials, is that Blu-Ray DVD’s are finally becoming affordable. If you’re anything like us, you picked up a Blu-Ray player in the previous months when the price finally dropped. Or you could be thinking about picking one up this Christmas season. The issue all along, at least from our prospective, was the price of the movies. The high price forces a lot of people to be picky about which movies they wish to enjoy in beautiful 1080P.

The Tides Of Change:
After Black Friday, we noticed something great. Not only has the price of new Blu-Ray DVD’s become more affordable, but the price of the classics have become even better! Now you can afford to build up your collection of classic movies in that 1080P resolution. Like they were meant to be seen!

Bonus:
More importantly, now you can tell your wife, girlfriend, or significant other who has been nagging you saying, “why did we buy that stupid expensive Blu-Ray player we can’t even afford to buy movies”, to SUCK IT! Well you might not want to do that, especially if you want them to buy you some sweet movies!

Where To Get The Deals:
There are deals all over the web where you can now get brand new Blu-Ray movies, new releases that is, for about $15. You can also find great classics for under ten bucks! We prefer Amazon for our DVD’s just because they are totally reliable, but there are also other places where you can get them.

A bit of advice though: Don’t go crazy buying loads of your favorites. Some movies just are not worth it. Granted, like you can see in the above picture, even classics like Terminator 2 have a huge difference in picture quality and also in sound quality. Pick up a few and see what you think. If you don’t already have a Blu-Ray player, and are thinking about getting one, keep in mind the movies are still a bit more. If it helps at all, what we do is rent movies we like and buy movies we love, its kind of a rule that has saved us a lot of money over the years.
