Skype Releases 5-Way Video Calling For Windows Users

skype multi party chat 300x151 Skype Releases 5 Way Video Calling For Windows Users

I thought that this breakthrough in video conferencing would also be a great way to introduce some of the important benefits of using Skype for your IT business. First of all, let’s run through the basics before we dig deeper into Skype announcing that video conferencing for up to 5 people is now possible.

Sometimes the IT industry just forces us to travel.

The most popular way of getting in touch with your friends, family, and colleagues seems to be the internet. You also have the ability to plug in a webcam and give your conversation a little more personal feel. In fact, when you partake in video conferencing, you just might  be surprised how much better it is to talk to someone as if they were really right there beside you.

When something is too hard to explain, SHOW THEM!

We sure can’t show the person on the other end of the phone something that may be a little too difficult for us to put into words. With video conferencing, you can actually show them rather than struggle trying to put it into words that they will actually completely comprehed.

Video conferencing is becoming more popular than you may think.

Let’s face it, those who own computers want to make it as useful for them as possible. Video conferencing has opened a broad range of opportunities other than the couple that we mentioned in this post. In fact, I would rather have a video conference with my employees in other areas over talking on the phone any day.

Need to have a meeting with a few others at once?

This time will be remember as the time that Skype made what used to be not possible, possible. This is the priceless benefit of staying on top of modern technology to say the least. Skype now supports video conferencing for up to 5 people. Currently this new service is in BETA, and doesn’t cost in order to take advantage of it. However, Skype has said that they will start charging later on this year.

If you haven’t experienced video conferencing, today is the day that you need to give it a try. If you’re an IT professional, you will be thankful for the opportunities that you will be presented with when you become acquainted with the Skype video calling features. It made a difference in my company, and it definitely can make one in yours as well.
