Is it just one of those days?
One thing about being a tech is that many people will literally stalk you if they have to, in an effort to get a solution to their computer problem. The reality of this situation is that not everyone has the skills needed to fix a computer.
After all, that’s why we’re techs, because we know how to do things with computers that some people may not have even thought possible. However, this can get quite frustrating at times when you can’t seem to get through a day without SOMEONE asking you what they should do.
Now, you could probably think of why providing tech support can be a frustrating experience, but to each tech his/her own words to summarize the experience. Let’s get on with looking at a few things that you can do to alleviate the frustrations when they arise.
Play Your Favorite Game for A Little Bit
Many people who prefer to enter the gaming world when they have time will notice that it could also make them feel better if they play a game when they’re frustrated. Take a few minutes to jump into your favorite game until you’re in a better mood.
Go Have a Smoke (If you smoke of course.)
For those of you who smoke, go outside and have one. Take time to relieve everything that seems to be bothering you at the moment so that you can move on with your day without having a bad mood ruin it for you.
Go for a Walk
A nice, peaceful walk can do wonders for you. Go ahead, walk away and go somewhere on foot so that you can get whatever it is bothering you out of your head so that you have time to think about how to go about it efficiently.
Find a Punching Bag
It feels good to hit something! Well, at least when you’re in a bad mood. Go ahead, get to the nearest punching bag and have it out.
If someone made you angry, just picture them being the punching bag and give them what has been coming. Just make sure you don’t mistake them for the punching bag or you could get in a little trouble over it.
Go Watch a Movie
Movies are relaxing, especially when we have had a rough day. Go rent one if you have to, but take some time to sit back and enjoy a movie with your favorite kind of popcorn and soda. You just might be surprised how much it helps you out.
As you can see, it’s pretty simple when it comes to dealing with a frustrating experience that we usually face all of the time as techs. Having a creative and constructive way to deal with it is what can help make us stronger. J
