Wireless Headphones Make Life Much Easier
After purchasing our third pair of headphones from our local office supply store enough was enough. Maybe this has never happened to you but it seems to happen to us more often than we would like to admit. We like to listen to music while we work, who doesn’t really and often times headphones are a little more considerate than having computer speakers blaring. Logitech makes a really nice set of USB headphone which we have been using for almost a year now but after countless broken cables, bent USB plugs, quite workdays, and shameful returns to purchase new sets we made the move to wireless headphones.
The problem really comes in when you have a large plug that you move around a lot. Often times the plug gets pulled around and broken down over time. Each time that cable gets wrapped around the chair, accidentally kicked, or pulled the wrong way it breaks down just a little. Throw in the annoying tangles and frustrated limited range and it is more than time to go wireless.

Wireless headphones have become more affordable in the past 6 months and all the usual players are in the market people like Sony, JVC, and Sylvania but after much research we have found a manufacturer that crushes the rest.
We spent a lot of time looking at some of the leading audio companies out there, brands you wouldn’t normally find at a office supply store and Sennheiser took the cake. If you have ever done any recording or have friends in bands you may be familiar with them.
After testing out several wireless headphones from a local Best Buy (because we love impulse purchases) we had to take to the internet to get the satisfaction we required. We read a lot of different reviews which eventually led us to more Pro Audio type products and Sennheiser’s Wireless Headphones. They operate on the same type of wireless signal as a telephone, have varying ranges and a pretty wide price range. Here are some great facts you may be surprised by.
Yes its true we were really amazed by this. The range allows you to play music in your computer room and pretty much go anywhere in your house wirelessly and listening to you music collection. The battery life means you can basically listen to music all day and never worry about having to stay close to the charger. The battery’s that come with it are rechargeable and most wireless headphones come with a nice little docking station to place them on when you are not using them.
Overall, if you’re someone who likes to listen to music and hates cords this is one of the greatest investments you can make. Just be careful with them. Just like anything else without a cord it can be easy to leave them behind somewhere or drop then in a place say, like the washing machine. Two thumbs up for wireless headphones.

Now we all need to tell television makers to install jacks for the wireless headphones.
Some of us don’t like the TV’s pitiful speakers, others prefer to lie in bed and listen without waking up the ol’ snoozing Significant Other, and a few of us curmudgeons like to be able to hear the TV over the treadmill’s racket.
White-Westingyhouse is a major offender here–their Chinese slave-labor constructed TV’s have an aperture for headphone jacks but White installs a rubber plug, instead.
None of the other numerous jacks fit the wireless transmitter.
