Ok now that the website is officially up and running its on to me start pumping out some decent reads. I have decided to start with many basic articles to try and make the site appeal to a wide variety of people and after a few months (or by request) I will get more specific. This particular article goes out to those out there looking for a reliable place to order their computer parts and accessories as well as digital cameras and camcorders. Basically, everything electronic can be purchased online and there are a lot of sites popping up offering the best prices and products, it is hard to know which one is reliable and which ones will net you the best price. (Typically there is some give and take with these two options, the more reliable the more is costs and vice versa.)
For most home users there are just a few competitors with as extensive of inventory as Newegg.com that they would be buy.com and perhaps tigerdirect.com and amazon.com, maybe CDW if it’s for business. Each business does a few things well, for example tigerdirect.com is good at having blowout prices, cdw.com is good at matching your business with the right products, and amazon.com at products available. From what I found however, if you’re willing to do a little research on your own, and know what you want newegg.com is really the place to find it.

Why I like em
Well, that is of course the whole point of this review. I guess if there was one phrase to describe newegg.com and their overall level of service I would say that is in fact rock solid. They have a huge selection, everything from PC components like Hard Drives and CPU’s, to Networking components like routers and NIC’s. They also carry digital cameras, MP3’s players, projectors, and much more. So of 5 stars I give them a 5 on selection. As far as product quality, well I guess that really depends on what your ordering, if you choose to buy a cheap piece of crap, I can at least say newegg.com can also deliver that to you. $4.00 NIC cards or whatever you want super cheap if you so choose.
They also carry high-end top-notch hardware for those of use demanding a little more for our purchases. That said, their shipping process is awesome, recently I ordered a new toner cartridge, and paid for standard shipping, which happened to be free. It arrived within 2 days, in perfect condition, exactly what I ordered. I should also mention everything I order from them always comes really well packed with plenty of bubble wrap for later.
The Bottom Line
Ok so you all know there are new places popping up all the time online to order whatever it is that you want. Honestly the most important thing is that you in particular see value, me I like newegg.com, that doesn’t mean that you will always be satisfied. With the all the unknowns online I always recommend going with someone you can trust, someone who in 6 months when that MP3 player dies, who can help you out. In my experiences Newegg has always done that for me. They haven’t always been the absolute rock bottom price by they add a lot of value in other places. You have to take in account many things before you order things online, and ordering from a company located right here in the US with lots of local shipping depots is generally a good call. I am sure this company will be around for a long time and I recommend using them for everything you need to order online.
