Lite-On DVD-Burners and CD-Burners
A lot of people ask me, when upgrading or adding a burner to their computer what brand to go with. There are a lot of choices, but there is really only one that I have ever used and continued to trust. Lite On.

There are a couple of reasons I really like their company and I will do my best to list them below.

Consistency

If there is one thing I look for in computer component it’s knowing what I am getting each and every single time. I have been using Lite-On products for nearly a decade. Big companies like HP use their products and much more. Every time I purchase one I know it’s going to work, it might not be flashy but it gets the job done nearly every time.

Software

You might be asking yourself, what does software matter? Well it matters a lot. Getting a great burner and having terrible software will keep you up at night. Lite-On drives from what I have seen have always come with Nero Burning Software. This is some of the easiest and most reliable software suites I have ever used.

Price & Availability

In all my searches I have always looked for the best product at the best price. Finding the golden combination of price and quality is what we all seek. I really feel that Lite-On has really hit the nail on the head as far as that goes. With widespread availability (even Office Max carries them now) and some of the best prices I have seen they really have the best offering out there.
Being able to get the product is really important, I mean ordering it online is typically fine but having the added bonus of being able to run out and grab one quick is really nice.

Summary

Having a quality CD-ROM drive is really important, but there are also important things to remember like included software and availability. Lite-On really delivers on all these important things, it sure would be nice to be on their payroll for giving them such a sparkling review but I just really have nothing but good things to say about them.
