Welcome to Be Your Own IT's Learn Computer Repair School.  We have tried many models over the years, and finally settled on this one. We used to email lessons to everyone, and that got to be too much of a hassle, we were told. We’ve decided to go about things a little differently this time around. We will post new lessons here every week, so don't worry if you are getting here and it looks a bit thin - we are converting all the lessons over as fast as we can. Learning computer repair can be a bit overwhelming. There is so much to know, so many ways to fix the same issue, so many variables… Our lessons try to take account for this by providing the lessons we have learned in over 10 years of repairing computers. Things are a lot different than they were 10 years ago when we started out, but the troubleshooting methods haven't changed one bit. People are more connected to their computers than ever before. Whether you’re trying to make a run at this to learn more about fixing your own computer, or you want to go into computer repair for a career or to make extra cash, or if you just want to learn a little more about your home PC, hopefully these lessons will help you accomplish that.

In these lessons, you’ll find a more in depth look at several basic hardware & software issues, as well as help removing virus infections, spyware troubles, and more complex things such as installing an operating system from scratch, building your own computer, and much more. We will deliver the knowledge in the form of text lessons - these will be the more traditional lessons on computer repair. We will also have bonus lessons on how to fix your computer - these will be more focused on tweaks and hacks you might find useful. We will also have bonus lessons converted to video. These lessons will go above and beyond our regular lessons and regular computer repair videos.
