Modules are plug-ins for Drupal that allow you to enhance your site’s performance and usability. There are hundreds of free Drupal modules available at the content management system’s website. Take a look through the list and find one that you think would be beneficial.

After you have found a module that fits your needs, download it to your desktop. Unzip the file using the free WinRAR tool. Next, login to your hosting server through your FTP client and copy the extracted file to the “modules” folder.
Login to your website’s admin page and find the modules section. Here you can enable or disable the module you just installed, or toggle the many modules that come pre-loaded on your Drupal site. Make your changes and then save your settings at the bottom of the page.
