Another way to use Windows 7 more efficiently is to learn how to find hidden files and customize the send to option. Finding hidden files allows you to access files not normally seen.
To get started, go to My Computer. A new feature in Windows 7 is the menu bar. To turn this on and off, all you need to do is press the Alt key or go to Organize-->Layout-->Menu Bar.
In regards to finding the hidden files on our computer, go to Organize-->Folder and Search Options-->View Tab--> check the circle that says ‘Show Hidden Files.’
Another feature not many people know about is customizing the ‘Send To’ option. You will usually see this option when you right click on an icon or folder. If you are looking to send a file to another program or area on your computer, right click on desired folder/icon-->’Send To’--> select desired folder/program
If you are looking to put more programs to show up in ‘Send To’ as a shortcut, search for ‘shell: send to’-->drag any program or file into this folder. Now when you use Send To, you will see the files you dropped in there.
