Top one is a G router, bottom one is an N router.

G is an older standard and maxes out at 54mb's a second, (up to 108 using MiMo but you need the correct router and adapter for that)

N can max out somewhere around 450.

If you are web browsing you are most likely not going to max out a G connection solo or 2-3 people. If you've got like 8 people browsing the web you probably want an N router

If you are doing transfers over a wireless network having an N network helps in huge amounts.

(you need to have a matching card to take advantage of a better network)

g card + n router = g network
