Hello, this is my first post so don't be too hard on me. I have a Lenovo Idea Center K230. Here is what I know about the hardware:

Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 64 bit

Intel Core Quad CPU 2.33 Ghz

6.0 GB RAM

The problem that I'm having is every time I boot or restart the computer hangs at the Lenovo/Intel screen for about an hour. It's really frustrating when I'm doing software updates. It takes days! Here are some of the things I've tried.

Changed the BIOS so that the CD is the first boot device vs. USB.

Changed the BIOS to fast boot.

Any ideas before I pull the cover and start from scratch?
