After a local thunderstorm my compaq nx9010 will not boot.
Also it will not run from a/c only but when battery attached the LEds light up.

When laptop is turned on on battery power the LEDs light up. the cooling fan is heard.
Hard drive light stays off , no flicker.

I tried another hard drive and other memory sticks to no effect.
There are no beeps and the screen remains black with no flickerr or image.
Thats as far as it will go.
Could it be the CPU only or has anyone any other suggestions, would appreciate some help.
