Default Still working on it

Thanks for your response. I still don't have the problem fixed but I did buy a new computer. (it was time) But I am keeping the old computer to work on and try to restore and learn from. I got the video lessons from byoit but most of it is very new to me. I am waiting for the tool kit so I can be safe when I go back into my computer and look at the timeing on the RAM. QUESTION FOR YOU THOUGH?. With my new HP computer through Office Depot I paid for 3 recovery discs for my new computer that they just downloaded on regular CDs. I don't have the discs in the video provided by byoit. I am tempted to try these recovery CD's on my Old computer I figure what have I got to lose. I don't seem to have any recovery discs with my old computer which is a Systemmax Ascent I bought through OD. The recovery CD's offered through Beyoit seem generic. Why wouldn't these work? Like what do I know. What is the worst that could happen
