At this moment in time would say and ati graphics are the best, intel processors are best but amd are far better value, ddr3 still bit expensive but its what i would be aiming for if i was upgrading, but your always going to pay a premium for new technology like touchscreens, 99% of the time i couldnt see a performance difference between an anthon at 2.4 and a quad at 3.6 so would imagine if your going to stretch the budget you should concentrate on the graphics card, what specs are you on at the moment or are you on the laptop.
