Default It Just a Big Jigsaw Puzzle

As a beginner it has helped me to look at the inside of my Test computer like a BIG JIGSAW PUZZLE with lots of pieces. Less intimidating that way. Keep in mind one of the first things the video and study guide tells you is if your computer is new, make sure you are not voiding the warranty by working on the computer yourself. 2ND Thing - unplug, unplug, unplug, unplug. Unplug everything!!!before you open any computer. I have an old computer I call my test computer. Get yourself an old computer. I have seen them on Craigs List for $1.00 or a few bucks. Its just a learning tool and less intimdating then using one you might be afraid to break. Maybe a friend is throwing one out. Open it up. My first impression. What a mess! (just like a woman)How do they get everything to work in here. What's with the ribbon cables? Couldn't they use smaller cables. Sure would be easier getten around in here. The biggest shocker for me was when I found out how small the processor is. Truthfully, the inside of the computer is totally amazing but not unconquerable. (this I have to keep telling myself everyday) Opening it up and looking inside was the first big hurdle for me.
