Actually, I only put more Ram in because the Tech I hired said I could use more ram. I don't think there is anything wrong with the original Ram that was in there from the beginning. That is why I took out the new Ram because someone on this forum recommended I try doing that and to see if that worked. Actually the computer starts and gets all the way to windows desktop but doesn't complete loading. The only way I can shut it down is control-ault-delete. I do get a blue screen along the way that continues to want to check the C drive for errors.

Is there a way to check the Ram that is in it and came with it? I don't know if the CD's that came with it can do it and I don't have the CD that they talk about on the video. I don't see anything to help me in the BIOS. Can the Ultimate Recovery disc be download to a CD?

The manual keeps referring to "Tech in a Box" on my computer for anything else I might want to diagnose. It is not on my computer anymore. It has gone away. In fact there are only a couple of things that show up on the desk top. One clue that something is wrong I guess. Thanks....

Are you leaving it long enough when you run chk disc it does take a while and can appear to be doing nothing, try running the computer in safe mode with networking if it works chances are its somthing youve downloaded not hardware.

whats the make and model motherboard

whats the make model model of memory old and new if theres stickers on it

does it run in safe mode

whats the operating system xp home, xp pro, vista etc
