Default Where is all the PC repair noobs?

Granted the courses are A+ and there are some excellent people on here, but what of the folks that purchased the course(s)? Is it likely most of them got the vids and lost interest due to technical difficulties? I'd like to hear how other people are coming along? BTW this need not apply to the vets or mods on here. I already know where you guys stand. Great job! I am mainly conveying this message to the forum shy lads who lurk about.

I finished the course and picked up quite a bit.

All my knowledge is self taught so although the course may seem a bit basic I learned quite a bit.

Great to hear that we are getting some more vids. I picked up a lot too, although there is still room for improvement. Even after I believe I can grab the bull by the horns I may as well stick around and become some type of supporter for BYOIT.
My next endeavor is to get a bunch of cheap older PC's and toss parts around installing and uninstalling to get the hands on training that I need. In addition there are already a few people that want me to help them out with their PC problems in my locale. In fact I was approached today by an acquaintance that needs immediate support so I will take them up on their offer and not charge a penny just so I cannot be blamed for ripping someone off. Figure if I willingly allocate my time as a favor their is no misconceptions or angry people that parted with their cash. This way I won't be misunderstood. I told them I am still an amateur and I cannot do everything.
Jeremy may I ask what sorts of vids are forthcoming? I thought the the ones I seen covered everything, but then again I did make a few requests for others that weren't in the course materials.
Thnx for the quick feedback guys, and a special thnx to popeye and smiley bear for up to the minute data and quick answers to some of the thing's I had issues with even though I'm sure they have busy lives, but generously take the time out to lend a helping hand.
Hopefully we shall hear from other PC noobs one of these days.

Any thoughts on a time frame for the videos?

Default Challenged

I must admit it helps to read these answers. I bought a new computer and I am using my old computer to work on. Right now I believe i have determined it needs a new hard drive so I am taking it one step at a time and I do mean one step at a time. My IT exposure is very limited and that is why I was attracted to beyourownit. Besides the fact that the tech I hired for a day cost me 90 dollars. I bought the videos and am still waiting on mycomputer tool kit. I get a little lostand confused when the answers to my questions are too technical. I have only been attemping this since January 18. Some days i try for a while and quit thinking WHAT AM I DOING. But then what I learned that day I accept hasn't really been lost. So I keep plugging away at it. I would like to hear from other woman too trying to do the same thing and what their experience is. I am glad this Website exists and I have nothing but time because I have a computer that works. Thank God! However, I do have a lot to learn. So I am not giving up.... Thanks to all of you....Deb
