I have tried a 10-day free trial of a couple of Windows based Live (Active) disks. They were "ok" but I could not see how they were superior to the latest Hirens Boot disk. If you wanted the others they would cost around $50-$60, but the Hirens is free and has lots of useful tools. Has anyone bought an Active or Live Windows disk, and how are they worth the money over the Hirens disk?

from what i have seen the ones you can buy are mostly far inferior of UBCD hirens or various free ones you can download from microsoft, and the ones that are not inferior are are just rip offs of the free programs that are available.

That's what I was thinking, so I haven't missed anything. The Active Disk (or at least the trial version of it) did not have any anti-virus or anti-malware on it. It had something in the menu as "anti-virus" but it took you to a link where you could download a portable version of an anti-virus to use on a disk or a USB drive...which is something you can do any way without their disk. Before I dismiss something as a bad or poor value I try to get feedback...maybe someone else saw the value in it that I did not see. Thus far I do not see how they can justify the cost for their disk.
