Can anyone just tell me how to read the oporating system part of boot.ini what these meen?

multi{0}
disk{0}
rdisk{0}
partition{1}
\windows
=”microsoft windows xp pro”

The purpose of the Boot.ini file in Windows XP

Unless its corrupted best left alone, but you can edit it.
