Default A Bad Hard Drive Question

Could a bad hard drive make a pc start in safe mode then restart back in safe mode? I turn the pc on and it goes to the choices of safe mode, last known good config, etc anything i hit just restarts back to the same choices it wont load windows. I am testing the hd and im getting bad readings. So could it be a bad hd ?

probably depends what you tested it with, if its starting in safe mode but not in ordinary i would suspect malware or a program thats running at start up thats just badly written.

hd tune is a well known program so i would look to replace it pretty quickly, but if its just a smart error i have had drives keep plodding on for ages with that.

Miray Software - HDClone - Hard disk copy, hard disk backup, hard disk rescue!

buy a bigger hard drive than the one you have (if its an old computer you will struggle to buy a smaller one anyway), and clone the drive, either that or just do a fresh install and make some new friends.

You can do better, leaving you to struggle and fix your computer on your own, and i bet they still haven't brought the lawnmower back.
