Default No Boot

No it gives the same error as I mentioned in the first post. If I remove it, it boots up fine. I've even used it as the only drive and it is fine. Re-jumpered it and used it as a slave. No Go! Maser-Slave No CS-CS No. They say that is the reason for the cable. Blue Black and Grey connectors. NO

On the Tiger-Direct Kit. Is this everything I need except the OS?

on the kit of parts an os, a tube of thermal paste (might even include that or be pre applied) screwdriver and a pair of pliers would get you up and running, obviously it doesn't include k/b mouse and monitor, and its only got a 64gb ssd drive so fast but not much space, you would probably want a bigger hdd for files, its just to show you what you could get, wouldn't necessarily go for that one, like i say its down to what you want to pay out.

as for the dual hdd it should have something in the bios give up an idea of the different tabs on bios screen

Default Tabs

It IS probably something that I am not doing wrong in BIOS. There are a lot of screens. I'm going to let this go for now, I've spent two days on it and I read that it should take about 30 minutes. Looks like I need more help than a forum can supply, but I do appreciate you giving me the help that you have. I just wanted the extra drive to download and install linux fedora. I burned it to a DVD and used the Vantec CB-ISATAU2 SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter to install it from a DVD Drive. It works fine, but I have to reboot to use one or the other OS's and of course the Gizmo has to be plugged in to use Linux. It is not on the hard drive.

just list the main tabs in bios then we can narrow them down

Default Bios

Here are a couple of pics. I no longer have the 2nd Drive attached and If I did, it does not appear as a choice to use when I installed it.

If you have two different versions of Windows (One on each drive) it can cause issues regardless of which one you have as the boot drive. It seems that a slave HD drive with Windows on it can create issues with the system booting properly....it has something to to do with the Master Boot Records getting re-written by having two HDs with two copies of Windows connected to the same system. Typically, a slave drive is used for storage and does not have an operating system on it. I don't know if you want to try this, but if you have a second HD that has been formatted and that does not have an operating system on it, use it as the slave (2nd) HD and then see if it will boot.

Default Drive

No I do not have a drive that is clean. I'm using a drive that is the Same as the one that is in the machine. I bought 3 computers all alike. That is one reason I wanted to install it on the old computer. Hoping that I could format it and either put another OS on it like Linux or whatever. Since I could not do this. I have today installed Ubuntu-11.10-Desktop.amd 64 on a Sony Vaio all in one with Windows 7 just so I could get familiar with another OS. By the way, so far, I like it.

if you can post a pic of advanced bios tab, in the boot priority change it to hard drive from floppy and more options might appear, also if you plan to wipe the drive anyway try just installing that drive and run dban by booting from the cd/dvd and run it for five minyte and the os will be unreadable so when second drive is fitted it will only have that os to look for, but try changing from floppy to hdd first
