Default Intro

This is my first post on an web site; but, I'm not a newbie to computers. I took my first "micro computer" course from, and was certified by, a community college in 1985. I learned CNC (machine shop) programming in the early '80's and retired from that career in April 2009.

I've built and repaired computers for relatives and am now preparing to make it my business profession. Right now, I'm getting familiar with Linux in order to provide it to customers as a safer alternative to MS for web browsing. The next step is the BYOIT business course with an emphasis on malware recovery.

I hope to be able to contribute as well as receive advice on these forums. Success to all!

Yes. We practiced programming in a lab room with around 20 TRS80's (Twin Rankine Steam powered computers with 80 bytes of RAM).

We've come a long way, baby!
