Mastery in computer hardware is a piece by piece learning process. The more you tinker with anything PC the more you will learn about it. Read a lot of good books on PC hardware(I can recommend a few if you pm me and ask specifically what area you are presently delving in) and go to stores and ask a lot of questions in the electronics areas. Granted these guys might not know much, but you are in essence setting a frame of reference in which to form your own knowledge and opinions. Ask all your hardware questions on here too.

Where did you get the quote Troubleshooter? I completely agree. What I also do is look at different office equipment flyers just to have a constant influx of terminology and specs to reinforce what I already know. I get PC World mag don't always understand everything in it yet! but the exposure still helps.
