I'm working on an emachine desktop pc and the network card was bad so I replaced it with a usb network adapter and looks as if it is connected and it says its connected. But when I open up Internet Explorer or Google Chrome it has a msg that says Internet explorer cannot display this page. I even click on diagnose the problem and it says there is no problem. Can someone please help me? I know it is something simple I haven't done but I can't figure out what it is right now. Please help!!!! |

open a command prompt - start > run > cmd or just hit Windows key +r >cmd > enter. Type in ipconfig /all and hit enter right click on your command prompt and click select all then hit ctrl +c to copy it all. Paste it into a text file and put it on a flash drive or something and bring it to a computer that is online and paste it in here so we can see how your network adapters are set up. If it starts with Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : scg214 Primary DNS Suffix . . . . . . . : and has a bunch more information then you have the right info. That's what we want.
