Hi folks--I'm pretty new at this stuff, so really appreciate the help that anyone can give. Just got a new/old computer for my wife and want to transfer her files to it. One very important program she has is "Quicken" for our finances. But we've lost the disc. Looking on the internet I find you can download it for free from someone on "blogspot". Is this reliable? or legal? And then for her other files, is the best way to just copy them onto a flash drive and copy them onto the new machine? Thanks again. Rich |

for swapping files document and pictures just transfer them on memory stick, as for quicken try downloading belarc advisor and see if you can get the key for the program off there, then contact quicken and see what they advise, may even send you a disc if you have a genuine key.

To be blunt, it most likely is not legal, and it will not be "free." If something sounds to good to be true, it most likely is not good and is not true either. There will be a cost somewhere....but it may not be financial in nature. Spyware, Malware and other compromises to your system are likely.
