Hi folks--More questions from a newbie...I'm trying to free up space by removing programs. Two questions about seemingly duplicate programs:
1. I have four Java programs listed: java 2 runtime environment, java(TM) 6 update 3, java(TM) 6 update 5, and Java(TM) SE runtime Environment 6. Do I need all of these? or does the last one replace all the earlier ones?
2. Also, I have four MS.net framework type ones: 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5. Same thing here? Do I only need the last of these?

The new ones replace all the old ones except for programs that only use the old ones (some stuff is only certified for certain versions) but for the average user you are safe deleting all the old ones.
