Smile New Guy On the Block

I took the offered courses because I was tired of taking my computer downtown to be fixed for $100.00 every 3 months. I am retired and have always worked a second job to keep ahead of the bills. Now that I know more about computers than I did 6 months ago, I am ready to be the guy to come to for computer repairs. Every town has one of those Treasure Hunt magazines where people advertise items for sale. Well, I put an ad in mine saying Free pickup of your broken, old and unused computers and laptops. The response was 7 desktops and one laptop for free. All I had to do was pick them up. That gave me something to work on for practice in repairing computers. I am looking forward to starting my computer repair business.

you get a lot of parts that are only fit for the bin doing this, but you will also come across some treasures, ive not long since built a computer equal to the specification im on now for £30, makes me want to cry when i think how much i paid.

if you were taking a computer to a shop every three months it was probably malware, and the good news is theres tons of free software out there (probably same stuff the shop used), so even if you only save what you were paying someone else the course is going to pay for itself, welcome to the forum

Sir Flippant. Your salavations would have been okay if "he" had been a "she". Although, in this day and time.........

Hey now...be nice!
I just heard someone say that once...I didn't think about the "other" implications. Hope I didn't scare anyone.
