Default malware spyware virus remove plan

Is there high demand for someone just to remove spyware, malware, virus from computers? I like to hear from some one that has there own shop and does computer repair for a living.

Default Virus removal

Hi Ernie,

I started my own business 3 months ago and so far, of the 25 computers I've seen this month, 12 had malware or viruses as the root problem. There were software installs or upgrades and a few hardware replacements. I would think you could advertise as a, "Specialist" in virus removal, but I'd take all customers and rely on this forum for answers to tough questions. Hope this helps.
AL

I would advise to not just focus on malware and virus removal, even though you would do alot of it. Because of the nature of software, other software issues (or even hardware problems) can appear to be an infection. You might waste many hours trying to remove an infection that is not even there. Also, an infection can affect and corrupt other files and software, so it's important to know how to fix those after the infection is removed.
And as you work on folks systems, such as virus removal and clean/tune ups, you will notice things that may help them, such as more RAM. So it's important to know how to upgrade the RAM and other components of a PC. It is important to have a broad understanding of computer function and repair even if just dealing with malware.
