Default Certification

Hi Everyone,

Before I start off I just want to say I was on this site back when it first started and I haven't been on it in a few years but to see it grow like this makes me happy.

I really need some advice and help from fellow Computer Freaks

I've been working with Computers for about 6 years now and I've had about almost every issue happen..from Hardware to Software (although I've never built a system from scratch) I gotta learn that next. Anyway....
I've been wanting to get maybe a part time job in or maybe even a full time one depending on the future. I don't have any formal education in it,even though...I really know what I'm doing and I've dealt with some people who have a "Degree" and had absolutely no idea what they were doing. That being said, the way the economy is now and such..Money is short of course..etc.

My question was does anyone know of any online sites..etc That offer certification programs at various levels in IT work and if there are..can you help with any helpful advice in going about it or pointers (whatever) will help.
And the big question...."Do I even need some certification to work?"

This is my personal Email

I have no problem emailing back and forth..etc If anyone wants to help me out with any useful info.
I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks and Be blessed

-Brad

long time no see, think if you plan going self employed theres not that much need, but if your planning to get a job anywhere in computers, comp tia a+ is the first thing they ask for over here
