Well the problem with my computer is that one day I was just on my laptop and my computer was just not responding. So I restarted my laptop when all the icons and start button were gone. Then the icons and start button came back but on my screen it sayed Microsoft Active Dekstop Recovery. And the only thing I could click was Restore My Active Dekstop. So I clicked it. Next thing I know all of my icons were highlighted and my screen just looks really wierd. Please help me.

Have you rebooted since? Did you enable active desktop? Your screen resolution may of changed, to check right click on the desktop and choose properties, under the settings tab you should see your settings, try getting back to normal from there.
