Hi,

Just a thought or two:

Have you checked the hard drive to make sure it is not starting to fail.

Since you are doing a re install, have you tried to overwrite the hard drive.

You can go to Hirens and download a copy of Hiren 15.0 boot disk or what ever their updated copy may be at this time. Check the memory out also, then you will know the hard ware is ok.

Another nice feature on the disk is the mini XP operating system which lets you use your computer to make sure everything is working.

Had this problem in the past and did a nuke job on the hard drive which wipes out everything and then the install went through with out a hitch.

Hope that helps.

check connections to the cd/dvd and check the disc is clean could be cd/dvd starting to fail, if you cant get into install part of program use dban (its on hirens and ubcd as well as being able to download it seperatly) run it for a minute or two and try installing again. create partition so os isnt writing to same part of disc, if you create a partition about 10gb and avoid it see if os installs on rest of whats left, if you still have problems try a different cd/dvd drive
