Default lesson on how to REALLY delete stuff form your hard drive

you know how some people say that when you delete something from your hard drive is still there, even when you empty out the recycle bin?

well, i think it would be a great lesson if someone would teach the forum how to really delete stuff, like what kind of software we need what we have to do and stuff like that.

if i need to further explain this let me know.

Dont know about wiping certain files but d-ban will do the job if your talking the entire hard disc, if not you want to consider a hidden encrypted operating system, but its a long winded process.

no, i was talking about certain files, like lets say you delete a word document, the word document is still there. its just waiting to be over written by something else. what i want to know how to do is how to delete those files. or how to gain access to them.

If you use McAfee, it has this feature. Just go to Tools, and then click on shredder. If you dont have McAfee, just type "shredding program downlaod" into google and see what comes up.
