i dont know how you can use xp after using 7, and i dont know how you can use 8 full stop, but if you like them go for it, xp will give you more hdd space to play with, and win8 will be developing quick, i just cant understand how you can use it properly on a desktop without a start menu, for me if the choice was between xp, linux or win8 i would be scratching my head, win7 or even vista added to the list and theres no contest, but thats me, this is the kind of question you should ignore other peoples views and go with your gut feeling

While I enjoy XP I encourage folks to move to Windows 7. XP is being slowly abandoned by Microsoft as far as support and soon updates for it will not be offered or available. It is time to move forward.

in all honesty no more updates might be the best thing thats ever happened to it, most of the problems i have had using it were caused by updates

The solution to your problem is relatively simple - when I see a couple of pairs of shoes and can't make up my mind which ones to buy - I buy both pairs.... and let the bank manager complain later... lol.

This solution may not suit your pocket, but it would negate your issue... Either that or get a larger hdd and partition it.... and dual boot.
