Question Bench Testing Mother Board

I am racking my brain over a motherboard I pulled from an old computer it is a IS-10 trying to bench test it but not sure if I am doing it right. I have pulled everything out and have only the PCU and video card on the board. Nothing shows up on the screen when I power it up, but the PCU fan runs. I have tried using different video cards also, but still do not get anything to show up on the scree????? Please I need some help

Check the 4pin atx and 20 pin atx motherboard connections from power supply, stick a new cmos battery in if its been stood for years, if the graphics card worked fine in another computer all you can do is check the ram, after that start making some room in the bin.

deletted the other post, if people start answering both its going to get confusing.

Question Motherboard

Ok its a 20 pin and it powers up another computer I have> I made sure it wasnt the power source. I have switched out the ram and the CMOS battery.
So now I am starting to think the motherboard is done for. Is there anything else I could pull out of my hat at this time????

If your not seeing any signs of life at all it sounds like its toast, just to clariffy youve connected the 20 pin AND the four pin from the power supply, should be a second power connector above and to the left of the cpu if its in a standard case.

Question MotherBoard

ok I see what you are talking about, but my power supply doesnt have a 4 pin cable on it, Its from an older computer. Question??? if it is because my power supply is old then what would I ask for when getting a new one??

Theres no guaretee its going to work if you get a power supply thats got the 4 pin atx plug so your best bet is borrowing one, put the word about among your friends and family for any old computers they dont want, you will end up begging them to stop.
