With HP Printers you need to download the software from their website, and then you setup your printer.

Smile wireless network

i have a wireless router but i have a printer that i want wireless but the only way to do that is if your printer has a wireless card built in so if it doesnt you must plug it in with an ethernet cable to your router

setting up a wireless network is easy usualy the router comes with software and drivers. if your router does not come with drivers you can open a web browser and and type in 198.168.1.1 then an admin login screen should appear now all you need to do is put the either the password that you made for you security and the name of the router or if you didnt do that or you dont have the drivers just tab down to the password box and type in admin once you are in you can change the security and much more such as filtering and passswords and certain times of day the router is allowed to be used and what computers can use it etc...

hope this helps
