Exclamation So wont there be problems !

Just like u popeye67 , most of my friends (say about 90%) dont even bother to buy a UPS or surge protector . What i have heard is that "Power Surges" can cause severe damage to hardware components and here i am without having both surge protector and UPS .

So thats why i wanted one .
Would be really helpful if you could suggest one , coz i am not able to pick an appropriate one due to my lack of UPS knowledge .

I use a APC Back-UPS E S 350. It's come in handy a few times. As far as size goes it's about middle of the line. What you basicly need it to do is give you tme to shut down normaly, mine will run for 5min. If there's a surge it switches to battery until surge is over generally less than a min. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up great help ! thanks ...Smiling Bear

Now that u mentioned APC Back-UPS E S 350 , i understand the range that i must be looking for . Like you mentioned , my purpose of buying an UPS is to get ample time to turn off my monitor properly .

Think i'll stick with ur model or a little bit higher ones ... just in case

Regards Shawn

I'm in a bad area and mine has paid for itself twice. I've had it for about 1 1/2 years now works great.
