Default Kyote software

So far I have used three pieces of kyote software, two for personal reasons, one to help a client.

I've used free easy cd dvd burner to burn a dvd, and two cds. One cd I messed up on and burnt the iso image... So it stood as an iso file. Turns out, you need to choose the copy cd option for that. The brand for both of these was maxell... So I haven't had the chance to test it with multiple brands.

It is as it says, quite free and easy.

The other software I use is the flv converter... Because it's nice to have something you can swipe videos off youtube with and turn into avis if you wish.

And the final piece of software was actually a thing of necessity. I had a client who's computer was messed up and I couldn't figure out how to fix the issue. So we settled to reinstall windows, but he wanted his emails backed up. Well, it turns out incredimail (the program he uses) had a wizard for this. No problem, right?
Not so much... The wizard would crash, without fail, after it hit around the 2gig mark of the file it produced. Years worth of email and spam.

The incredimail backup pro worked very nicely. It was able to copy everything without crashing and failing, and it restored it easily. I did have one problem though. On the fresh install, with the old account information, it wasn't capable of connecting to the mail server, despite all options and settings being correct. To fix it, I just had to remove the old account and set it up again.

So... Overall kyote makes a pretty handy piece of software. The only issue I have with it, is that it will pop it's website up each time you load a program, and it does try to get you to install a yahoo toolbar, but that is easily avoided by unchecking the box.

There are 15 programs listed there many freeware, the rest seem to be shareware (like the incredimail backup pro).
