| I've compiled a list of 150 free apps. Not free to try, or free trial, they are all 100% free. Sorry that it's five different links but CNet would only let me put 30 in a list. Please add your links if you have something to add. I just found out that the app Hitman 3.5 isn't free it's a 30 day trial. It does say that it's free and says nothing about it being a 30 day trial. I will put a note that says this for all of you. That being said, it did find and removed a rootkit that MSSE, Panda Cloud, ESET Online Scanner, and Malwarebytes missed. And one more thing Panda Cloud took 4 hours to scan my laptop and it only has a 20gig HD so it is slower than a snail through molasses in January, but it is a free realtime av product (you do need to be connected to the internet though). And given my hatred of anything from Redmond I'm giving it a try.

So far using CNET has brought me a lot of spyware. I keep getting problems with all their hand me downs. I stay clear of CNET now, because of the pop ups. The site is not secure, check around. Even Administrators say CNET is nothing but trouble. Free apps = spyware

If you don't have a pop up blocker by now that isn't the advertisers fault. It's because while you were busy trying be all high and mighty you forgot to download the very "free" pop up blocker you would have if you actually knew what you were talking about in the first place.

the pop up blocker and the add on the kid was talking about just made things worse. They hindered more than helped. I tried different pop up blockers that were worth their weight in gold and they helped as much as a raincoat protects against crabs ..bring back memories? Ha, thought so.
