Im working on a computer for a friend and found software called DivX plus on it. There is converter, player, and DivX Movies. Is this a valid software or something that downloaded hidden in another install?

It's a free software programme, as far as I'm aware.

its a legit software but it can be downloaded as part of other software that isnt, wouldnt worry about it worth running scans for other stuff

Thanks I ran a scan and found nothing harmfull. I did find about 45 different things loading whenever the computer boots. turned most of that off and it runs like a champs now.
