Choose language, region, activation key and it will do everything else for you including loading drivers, its the one thing that has really improved with 7.

Question you bet popeye67 !

One more thing , the point that you mentioned about windows 7 automatically loading the drivers , so will it do the same for "Raid 0" setup too . Since I've bought 2 Western Digital 7200 RPM 512 GB Hard Drives and would like to put them in Raid 0 configuration .

For this to be done , must i purchase a new Raid Card to connect them both in the card or is there is any other on board alternative that can be done .

My Motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R

Thnx and Regards Shawn .

Talking Yeah , its there !

Just like you said popeye67 , i found it in integrated peripherals drop down menu . And I've changed the IDE to Raid setup , thnx to you .

But what bothers me is the serial port option which i saw just above it , just like to know what actually are the serial ports for , coz i cant recollect any hard wares that i installed which needed a serial port .

As I'm new to tweaking field , would something terrible happen if i alter the default memory timings , voltages , cpu multiplier and FSB little by little.

If something goes wrong what must be done to bring the BIOS back to its formal state , can we set any backup .

Regards Shawn

Have a look at basic overclocking thread in general advice, seriel port is a lagacy port for printers i think off top of my head, not used anymore.

Until you roast your processor and it goes caput. I wouldn't get to big-headed about overclocking just for the sake of it. As a matter of fact, it should be avoided. You should study it for months before you think you know it all, and preferably watch several people do it on their own PC's. Watch your ass when you boost your processor over the extra 25% overclock, which is the processors safe margin anyway. After that you'll blow the engine.

Remember: you can't drop a Warp 9 into a hooptydoo

This is only a personel opinion so view it with a good dose of scepticism, the dangers of overclocking are very exagerated, in my opinion the chances of damaging your cpu are pretty slim your more likely to damage the board if you start uping the voltages to stupid levels, take small steps and stick to the 10-15 percent when increasing voltages and you shouldnt have any problems, if the overclock fails wind it back and start again, lot of good overclocking boards allow you to save stable overclocks, keep an eye on temps with apps like core temp and feel the n/brige s/bridge see if they are getting excessivly hot and add extra cooling if its a problem, having said that the benefits of overclocking are also exagerated, bottom line is if you cant afford to break it leave it alone.

Thumbs up I appreciate your concern Troubleshooter .

Now that u mentioned this , i feel its better to be on the safe boat .After all its Money we are talking about .

Yes , just like you said , I really did do my research fairly well on both google and youtube and came across many videos , tips and detailed instructions .

But the worst part about overclocking is that there is no guarantee that one will work exactly like the other and damn ! It voids our Warranty too if we try to Tweak or Lap the CPU .

Finally It all comes down to exceptional tweak skills for fine tuning and most importantly LUCK . In short "YOU GET IT OR FORGET IT" .

Do you guys know any well explained and detailed video that gives complete walkthrough about Overclocking . More like a Tutorial video . Coz I've come across many videos in Youtube but found none of them worth watching .

So your suggestions Plz .

It aint rocket science, its just trial and error, stick to standard voltages and there isnt much risk and if you add extra cooling will probably be more reliable, as for lapping the cpu - yep that will fcuk up the cpu, risk of damaging the pins is too high and the gains in performace are tiny, stick it in lock it down and leave it alone, stick to a good tim like arctic silver and a good hsf like arctic cooling freezer.
