Post Build Own Computer

I, couldn't agree with you more about building your own computer Popeye, the only draw back I have found is the cost of the components any one know of a good reliable wholesale parts supplier?

Im from britain waste of time asking me but most of the lads on here are from america, its not so much the amount of money you save building your own computer, in fact you will probably end up spending more, its the amount of money and time you save fixing problems because youve learnt how to do it yourself instead of paying someone else.

It's also very nice to know exactly which parts are in the computer. Most places selling a computer will list the sizes of your ram, hard drive, cpu, and video card. Most often they won't mention the exact components, so you don't know the quality of your parts.

It worries me that you don't really know how much you can do in the bios until you actually get the computer. What if the RAM or processor aren't quite setup right and you can't change it? What if it can't even properly support a component?

Ahhh, but that's where getting motherboard & CPU combos can come in handy. Not only is the motherboard and CPU already matched up for you, but the heatsink and CPU fan are often included, too.
As far as the correct RAM, Crucial.com's on-line tool is great for matching up RAM with motherboards.

Now why didn't you have this posted 15 years ago when I built my first computer???? NOOOOOO you wait until I have built several hundred computers before you post this. (I use to build them and sell them on ebay back when computers cost over $1000 for the cheap ones, now there is no money in it)

But you need to add this

Maximum PC | Build It: Three Water-Cooling Techniques Detailed and Constructed

Actually I have never done the water cooling but I'm going to on my next build (hopefully)
