I would start worrying about it if it got over 65c. You could use programs like core temp to get your cpus temp. I personaly use my motherboards software by Asus to keep track of all my temps. If you want to keep your cpu cool, you could look and see if you can add any more fans to your case. I run 6 on my gaming machine. But if your just browsing the web and not realy doing much then I wouldint realy worry too much. For normal rigs I just use the cpu fan and one other case fan. Also if you look into adding more fans, look up case airflow. There is also positive and negative case pressure. Another thing to keep in mined is to keep your computer off the floor and open it up and dust it out every so often. Last thing, NEVER SMOKE AT YOUR COMPUTER.

Always smoke at your computer, doesn't do your computer much good but it does wonders for your sanity, temps for cpu seem reasonable (possibly bit high depending on the load, ideally between 30-60), system does seem a little high so yo might want to fit an extra case fan or two, unless your running something like prime95 i doubt your cpu is running at 100% (unlikely even if it was), are you sure its not showing near to 99% persentage idle time,

pentium 4 did have a bit of a reputation for being a bit hot running but that seems not too bad but if nothings running it is bit hot, lack of headroom due to temps was one of the reasons the amd athlon was such a success when they launched it and why intel had to get their act together and develop the core 2 quad/duo and on to the i3i5i7

bit of a typo there think you meant upgrade, basic is a little dissapointing after using ultimate but its light years ahead of xp
