Not sure if I wanna use something that sounds like "commode."

(Just kiddin'.)

I'm sure it's good stuff.

And Defender Pro....to get it off my hard drive I actually had to open my hard drive up and scrape it out with a chisel.

I don't know about the AV products but Comodo makes a kick ass firewall.

As far as AV. You can ask 100 different experts what the best AV is and you will get many different answers. From all the mags I read these always rank up to the top

AVG (which is sliding down the polls)
Avast
Nod32
Kaspersky

I have been watching these for years. Problem is they all will make good products for a few years and then put out a bad product.

Kind of like Auto Manufactures. Here in the US there is a big argument between who is better Ford or GM.

When it comes down to it, it doesn't really matter what AV you use because most viruses put out now a days knows how to get around your AV product.

I've heard several people that like Essentials. I Just stay far away from anything Microsoft puts out except for the OS and Office.

We've been using Microsoft Security Essentials to good success. Catches a bit of stuff but has also let a few slip through.

It's advantages are that it's free, integrates nicely into Windows, KISS philosophy and auto updates.
