Is there another way of tackling viruses apart from using the system recovery, installing anti-virus or formatting.... Help! Plz.

Yes but it involves a big hammer, why can't you install anti virus programs, if you are unable to download them direct onto the computer you can use a memory stick and use portable apps

What anti-virus programme are you thinking of installing? There are a lot of free programmes out there - I use Avast, myself.

if you dont want to or cant install anti vrus for whatever reason you can download live anti vrus discs and burn them to disc and boot from them but running a proper anti virus program is more secure , never used eset myself im currently using super antspyware

I've not used it myself, but I have heard it praised on other forums. I guess it's like everything else - it's all down to personal taste and preference.
