We actually just redid that free course, the only thing is we kept what we could from the previous version so indeed some of the data can be outdated.

However, IDE Rom Drives are still sold and still used on many modern pc's. Calling them outdated because your computer didn't use them is a bit harsh.

If you go to newegg and look at dvd burners you see this distribution of interfaces:

Interface
IDE(18)
SATA(46)
USB (1)

So on the way out? definitely. Still quite relevant however.

I was working on a project to get all of our videos transcribed

It got put on hold because I was having some issues with the company doing the transcription.

Popeye That Avatar of yours must scare the shit out of ACER. I couldn't get support from Acer even when it was under warranty.

William: very cool. Maybe I'll go back and run through the course again. You never know what you can learn from a second look at something.
