Which of the following function prototype is perfectly acceptable?

1. int Function(int Tmp = Show());
2. float Function(int Tmp = Show(int, float));
3. Both A and B.
4. float = Show(int, float) Function(Tmp);
Hmm, I don't that code would work in Java SE, maybe its JavaScript(not related to the Java)?

You would be a great tester then! Always great to have a software tester with a little knowledge of programming.

Java is a great language! Very flexible and portable, enjoy coding and don't quit when you don't understand what something is happening or wont work. Nor ever think you can't teach your self. If you think you need more help than the net, get Sam's Teach your Java in 24 hours, and check Oracle's Java Trails: The Java™ Tutorials .

There are a lot of different programming/scripting languages for different technologies and proposes. Some for desktop programs, some mobile, console, websites, etc.

That being said, sql is not technically a programming language out of those 3.
You are right about that, though, I think SQL does have a scripting language. Thought limited to SQL stuff only.

W3S will teach you web development. Not really a programming language, rather a markup language(HTML, CSS), or if you go for Java Script, a scripting language.

Yep, Java is great. Easy to learn yet powerful cross platform language. I've heard C# is nice, its a cross between Java and C++, its great for windows development, and .exe files.

People usually consider things like Python and vb to be "beginner friendly".

This doesn't mean that they are weak or unable to be used for complicated programs, but you can usually put 2 and 2 together and get 4 pretty easily.

Here's an interactive python tutorial that you can run without installing anything:

Try Python: Interactive Python Tutorial in the Browser

Here's one for ruby also:

Sorry Melawe, but I've only managed a cursory look as I've been rather busy, but I will get round to it when I've got some free time. Thanks for the link, though.

Python is great for web related stuff. There are a lot of programs on the Ubuntu software center that were made using Python, its also great as a scripting language to let users customize programs.

Thanks for the link - and, yes, it is easy to understand. I think I'll investigate this some more.
