Default Just a suggestion

I would like to see this forum be everything it can be. Not everyone thinks on a technical level. It would be beneficial to have a section specific to IT Beginners who can ask their lame questions. Or ask even technical questions and get fundamental answers. Unlike a lot of other forums, where unless you know how to ask the question you are lost. It seems most forums draw seasoned computer users. Being an IT Beginner, no one wants to be the one that asks you to explain the explanation for fear of sounding stupid. Even if an IT beginner googles a question most likely they will get a technical response. Many of us need it broken down or spelled out more.

Excellent idea! How forward-thinking of you Mrs Iowa. I find it tedious to answer the same questions repeatedly myself especially when someone asks me how to cut and paste or install a basic program that most 10 year olds can do blindfolded. I am going for my associates degree in information technology real soon (this month in fact I start college) and I will be around a lot of PC nerds, but I will always have an affinity with BYOIT and the gang here. I don't really want to answer lame questions that a simple google can answer for them in the time it takes to wait for a reply. However, seen as you appear to have your innovative ideals why not make a sub-forum or two, basic tutorials A-Z, technical area, etc. I am a progressive learner myself, and as long as we have the right people to assist (hint..hint..popeye;smiling bear; xazor; asus, etc we can tie loose ends to meet our needs.
Mind you guys I'm just throwing my penny in the hat, anyhow work out the details and count me in for what it's worth. You're right though we can add something worthwhile once in a while rather than allow thing's to get monotonous and transform into a graveyard of silly verbal volleying about nothingness. That is the main reason I leave a forum behind.

Ok here it goes. To start. How about something like,
IT Beginners Basic (your technical questions answered at the basic level.)
Moderators don't get your hackles up but you would have to be willing and able to answer at THIS level.

It might be a crazy idea that may never take off. (Or I may be starting trouble.) My suggested forum can always be deleted if it doesn't go anywhere. And you can give me my walking papers.

I was thinking of making a category called "Beginning IT Basics" but I need a few ideas for the forums in the category. We need at least 3.

Another might be, Learning the basic components & identifying them in your own computer.
