Try doing a system restore. That ought to do the trick. Then go and get Firefox or Chrome. They are so much better than Internet Exploder. Also, I would get rid of AVG and go get yourself Avast. It's free and it has more and better features than AVG. I would also get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy, SuperAntiSpyware, and HiJack This. They are all free and can be found at cnet.com. Also, I would go to ashampoo.com/en/usd/lpa/softpedia and get their Burning Studio 2010 Advanced and WinOptimizer 6. Both of which are also free. With all these apps your comp ought to be tighter than a penguins asshole.

Avoid Internet Explorer like the plague. IE will only cause you more problems.

AVG anti-virus is mediocre at best. Go with Avast or Avira anti-virus or even the free version of Panda.

Along with that get a decent anti-spyware like Ad-Aware or Malwarebytes Antimalware. I am sure Avast combines well with the 2 antispyware programs above, but not sure about Avira or Panda.
