Default Downloading Videos

Hi, I recently bought "Windows 7" and am not sure how to download videos from the internet. With "XP" it was easy but I'm finding it difficult and hit and miss with Windows 7. I looked in the Book but all it addresses is CD's. Anybody know what to do?

On another issue My "Winamp" player keeps acting up on me and seems to lose the "Media Library". I keep uninstalling it and reinstalling it because this seems to be the only way to get it to work. Any suggestions?

Bill

where are you trying to download videos from, do you mean torrents, can you go ito bit more detail, windows7 does everything at least x10 better than xp so its probably just getting used to it

as for winamp, no idea only use vlc or windows media player,

is the trouble downloading videos and loosing media librarys something thats happened all time or started happening, could be malware, try downloading malwarebytes free edition see what it picks up

Default Downloading videos from the Internet

Hi, as I understood you want to download videos from the Internet.

You can download videos from the net and save them, change formats and more, on your P.C. on any folder you choose using Real Player from>>> filehippo.com here is the link>>>
Download RealPlayer 15.0.2.72 - FileHippo.com

I use it to download videos from YouTube.com, you can change the format and upload it to a MP3/4 devise /iPhone/iPod/ etc...

Now I am not able to view the videos from the "Computer Repair Course. I don't know what's going on with this Computer of mine Yesterday I could play videos that were on the Harddrive or on subscribed courses like this one but now I can't get any video at all.

I seem to have fixed the problem. I reset Internet Explorer to the Default Settings and it seems to be working now. I just don't know what tweaked it in the first place though.

if you mean you cant view them on websites it could be your browser (if your using ie its definrtly your browser), if you mean videos youve downloaded its possibly your codecs, if your using windows media player download a codec pack Download K-Lite Codec Pack 8.40 (Full) - FileHippo.com
or better still vlc Download VLC Media Player 2.0.0 - FileHippo.com but its strange that its stopped working if its worked in the past, you might have changed a setting or something youve downloaded messed it up, other possible cause is malware start doing some scans, start with malwarebytes

If you could play them yesterday and not today made me think it might have been a windows update or something. They can sometime play havoc. Some members with the Computer repair Mastery course have had trouble downloading the Guide. But I just tried it and it seems to download ok on IE. Also, Firefox just not Google Chrome for some reason.

Thanks everyone,
I now have things up and running. The problem was probably just Human error. I just purchased this new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium installed and I am not yet up to speed. I was really good with Windows XP, until My hard Drive crashed. I decided to just upgrade to Windows 7. I did download the "VLC Media Player" and thanks for that. I really appreciate the feedback I get from this site. I am learning and I feel really good about having a source to go to that is knowledgeable and non judgemental. I am hoping that this site expands and keeps acquiring new members. Thanks.
